TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Providing Compassionate Care in the Comfort of Your Home.

 1. DEFINITIONS

When we say “Company,” we mean Kozo Homecare Services. “Client” is you or your family if you’re using our services. “Caregiver” refers to the person we assign to care for you they might be our employee or an independent contractor. “Services” are the non-medical homecare tasks listed below.

2. WHAT WE DO

Kozo Homecare Services offers non-medical support at home, including:

·       Companionship and emotional support

·       Helping with personal care—bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene

·       Assistance with daily living activities

·       Meal prep and feeding help

·       Light housekeeping related to your care

·       Laundry for your clothes only

·       Medication reminders (we don’t prescribe or diagnose)

·       Mobility help and basic exercises

·       Care for bedridden clients and pressure sore prevention

·       Hospital bedside support

·       Running errands and escort services (if pre-approved)

What we don’t do: We’re not doctors or nurses. We don’t diagnose, treat, or perform invasive clinical procedures unless a licensed healthcare professional is specifically involved and it’s agreed upon.

3. SERVICE SCHEDULING

We provide care according to the schedule we both agree on, specific shifts, days, and durations. If you need to change the schedule, let us know ahead of time. If we need to, we might send a different caregiver to make sure your care isn’t interrupted.

 4. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

·       Give us accurate, up-to-date health and personal info

·       Keep the home safe, respectful, and clean

·       Supply what’s needed for care (like toiletries, bedding, food, and medication)

·       Treat caregivers with dignity and respect

·       Tell us if anything changes with your health, risks, or environment

If the environment becomes unsafe, we can suspend or stop services.

5. FEES & PAYMENT

Our fees follow our official price list. You can pay by Mobile Money or bank transfer, as agreed. Please pay your invoice within 7–14 days unless we agree on something else. If payments are late, we might pause your service. We can change our rates, but we’ll give you 30 days’ written notice. Prepaid but unused services aren’t refundable unless we agree in writing.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY

If you need to cancel, please give us at least 24–48 hours’ notice. If you cancel late or on the same day, we’ll still charge for the shift.

On our end, we might suspend or cancel services right away if there’s non-payment, unsafe conditions, abuse, harassment, or if these terms are broken.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY

We treat all client information as strictly confidential. Our caregivers are bound by this, too. We only share your info if the law requires it or if you say it’s okay.

8. LIABILITY & INSURANCE

We do our best to provide careful service, but we can’t take responsibility for pre-existing conditions, loss or damage to personal property, or anything outside the scope of non-medical care. We recommend you keep your own home and personal insurance up to date. Kozo carries public liability and operational coverage as required locally.

9. NO GUARANTEE OF OUTCOMES

We aim for high-quality care, but we can’t promise specific health improvements, recovery, or control over disease progression.

10. NON-SOLICITATION OF CAREGIVERS

You agree not to hire or directly engage our caregivers outside of Kozo for 12 months after your service ends. If this happens, you’ll owe a placement or transfer fee equal to four weeks of service fees.

11. ENDING SERVICES

Either you or Kozo can end services with 14–30 days’ written notice, unless we agree otherwise. In serious cases like safety risks or major breaches, services can end immediately.

 12. FORCE MAJEURE

Sometimes, things happen that no one can control—illness, natural disasters, strikes, or government action. If these disrupt our services, Kozo isn’t liable.

13. ACCEPTANCE

By using Kozo Homecare Services, you confirm you’ve read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
